My name is Tom. I live in Muscatine, Iowa. (The "Pearl" of the Mississippi) I've been a ham since 1989. I have recently been elected ARRL Section Manager for Iowa. I begin my term April 2009. I am currently the OOC for Iowa. I'm also the Secretary/Treasurer for the Muscatine Amateur Radio Club as well as Field Day Coordinator and Hamfest Coordinator. I'm active on HF, VHF & UHF. If you're in the area, try for me on the KC0AQS 146.310/146.910 repeater.

Welcome. The refreshments table is located towards the rear of the room.

It's my fault. I've been swamped with other things in my life and have let this forum go to seed.

I have been checking out some of the other ham boards and everyone seems to have things the same. A trading board, an Elmer board, but what no one has is localized boards. What I mean is, how about setting up a board for each state? Then Iowa people can talk about Iowa ham stuff, etc. You can have Canadian provinces and Mexican, too. One for each continent? One for each DXCC country? Who knows? You could even expand to include each ARRL section. Of course, members should be allowed to access and post in any board they want. What do you think? Huh?

I think that would be a better idea if it were executed as a social networking site.

But this board is very very near dead. Why not try something radical?

Radical or not we still need the numbers to pull it off and get started.

Or maybe try this. have boards for specific bands. Have a 160m board, 80m, 40m, etc. Huh?
